Previous Experience
|
Previous Experience Berkley School DistrictAs the Principal of Angell Elementary School in Berkley, MI, I supported all students by working collaboratively with teachers to address identified achievement gaps present in the schools data. One focus for the school was to decrease the number of students who were referred to special education for evaluation without receiving intervention in the general education classroom. Our focus became to better match their needs within Tier I general education classroom instruction and with Tier II supports.
Additional resources were used to add digital projectors to classroom for student and teacher use. Title I supports were increased through the use of materials to support students in Tier I and Tier II of our RTI system. Use the image to visit Berkley's website |

Conferences & In-ServicesAs a leader in the school and the district, I have been able to attend a variety of conferences and in-services throughout my career. I also believe that as educators we have to take on our own learning in order to improve our practice. I have attend and created a variety of EdCamp style unconferences to support my own learning. The following is a list of a few of the in-services and conferences I have attended and presented at.
